No prior knowledge or experience with the German language is required to be a preschool or kindergarten  student at the German American School of Portland.

The German American School of Portland is now accepting applications for preschool through 5th grade, 08-09 academic year.

* This Service is provided by Vermont Hills Family Life Center. You must register in advance by calling 503-452-8633. After-Care charges are separate from tuition and you will be billed directly by Vermont Hills.
 
  • NEW families also pay a one-time $500 development fee (for the first child only).
  • When siblings enroll at the school, the second child’s tuition will be reduced by 10%, the third child’s tuition by 15%, etc.
  • Grade placement/teacher assignments are determined by the Head of School

Standard tuition does not meet the full cost of educating the student. Fundraising supplements the difference between the standard tuition and actual tuition costs. Families are expected to participate to the best of their ability in our major fundraisers: Auction, Holiday Market, and Annual Giving Campaign.

Corporate tuition rates primarily apply to international transfer families.
